Saving designers from pulling their teeth 🦷
Plus one of my favorite pivot stories I came across in recent times
Hey everyone,
Today, I'm stoked to share with you a new product called Weavely that is launching publicly worldwide and on Product Hunt 🌎
But first, let me talk about the problem it solves: helping designers who already love Figma bring all that power and customizability into designing forms and surveys.
PROBLEM
Imagine this.
You’re a world-class product or brand designer. Maybe you work at a brand like Nike or a hip unicorn startup like Mercury.
You take immense pride in your craft and how it makes your website look. You aim for pixel perfection with everything you touch.
You work on an iMac, worship Jony Ive, wear a beanie even when it’s not cold and live inside of Figma.
But then you are tasked to create a customer-facing survey/form that will hit about 1 million inboxes and the result looks like this below..
Are you screaming in pain yet?
No shade to Google Forms (I use it all the time as I’m not a designer). They are great but it makes your forms/surveys look … um.. shitty. basic.
A small team out of Belgium figured they’ll build something *new* to help designers NOT hurt their souls while design forms. They asked themselves.. what if we simply let designers design their forms inside their favorite tool ever.. FIGMA.
So the work looks more like this.
That’s exactly what Weavely is about.
It’s a Figma plugin which allows you to design your form in Figma and generate a working web form that is shareable.
Here are some reasons why you must consider Weavely:
Absolute customization (Weavely is the only form builder where you can fully customize your designs in Figma)
Unique form elements & advanced functionality
Data analytics capabilities (vector-based graphs, charts and sticky boards in Figma)
Affordable pricing (the majority of features are available for free)
Free live support
I recently got a chance to connect with Florian Myter (one of the co-founders based out of Belgium) who showed me the demo and shared a fun pivot story. I am a big fan of the disciplined and niched down approach of focusing on delighting just Figma users for now.
I loved our chat so much that I agreed to help with this public PH launch campaign.
Excited to see a wave of new startups and businesses try out this plugin and build whatever they want -- stunning surveys, lead gen forms, onboarding forms, feedback forms etc.
Join the launch party/discussion and add your comments and feedback on Product Hunt here.
Your support would mean a lot to the founding team and to me :)
Thank you so much! 🙏
