No one will save you (except maybe AI employees) 👀
Featured: Exclusive interview with Marblism founder Ulric Musset on brutal startup truths and how AI can help you gain $5m leverage
Hey everyone 👋
Today, I wanted to publish a special featured interview on my newsletter that highlights the story and lessons from the founder behind Marblism.
Marblism is a team of AI Employees designed to scale your business. They handle your inbox, social media, SEO, lead generation, calls, and customer support — and the best part? They won’t call in sick or you don't have to take them out for lunch.
The founder Ulric's journey is particularly compelling: after scaling his previous company to 65 employees and $5M in revenue through grueling 100-hour workweeks, he discovered the power of virtual assistants. When he sold that company, he had an epiphany: what if every founder could access that same leverage without the $2k/month price tag?
I was curious about his transition from serial entrepreneur to AI workforce pioneer, so I sent him a few questions that turned into this interview.
Here's the transcript of my interview with the Marblism founder. Enjoy!
In simple terms, what does Marblism do?
Marblism is a team of AI Employees to scale your business. They run your inbox, socials, SEO, lead generation, calls, and support. The best thing is: you don't have to take them out for lunch.
Give us a little backstory of how you got to this launch. What were a few inflection points in the journey?
I scaled my last company to 65 employees and $5M in revenue, I was a pure hustler pulling 100-hour workweeks.
What changed my life was hiring virtual assistants: an EA who saved me hours daily, a ghostwriter who drove inbound leads, and an SEO expert who ranked us on Google.
When I sold that company, I asked myself: what if every founder could get that same leverage, without the $2k/month price tag? That's when Marblism was born.
How does Marblism stand out in your crowded market segment?
Most startups focus on one AI agent, and that's great advice: do one thing well.
We took the opposite path. People are tired of juggling 20 subscriptions. With Marblism, you get all your AI employees in one platform, built to work together.
What was the most challenging aspect of building Marblism so far?
Our customers always want more, more skills for their AI Employees, more AI Agents to handle different parts of their businesses. Like in chess, it's very challenging to know what is the next best move (at least for me with my 1000 ELO).
What's been the most surprising or unexpected feedback from early users for Marblism?
Some customers asked to change their AI Employees' faces: we gently reminded them you don't (or at least shouldn't) hire people for their looks 😅
Looking ahead into the future years, how do you see Marblism evolve? What are some ways you'd expand your TAM?
We are planning to release more AI Employees: to build your website, to run adwords campaigns, to create winning ads on Meta. Our goal is to be the best place to start and scale a business.
What specific advice from your lived experience would you give to first-time founders starting their startup?
I love the first sentence from Anna Karenina, "Happy families are all alike; every unhappy family is unhappy in its own way".
= A happy startup must succeed in many different aspects (team, timing, market, marketing …), and failure in any one area can sink the startup.
No one will save you. You, and only yourself, can crack the secret code to product market fit.
Where can people learn more about Marblism and its latest PH launch?
You can check out Marblism's latest launch and updates on our Product Hunt page here or visit marblism.com to meet your AI team. We’re already #1 on PH right nomw and are looking forward to your feedback.
That's a wrap on this week's featured interview — hope this founder's journey from 100-hour workweeks to AI workforce automation sparked some ideas for you on how personal breakthroughs can become scalable business solutions.
Try It Yourself
Earlier today, I helped Marblism launch on Product Hunt as a Hunter, and I couldn't be more excited to support it. I was instantly hooked by the concept of getting an entire AI workforce without the typical subscription juggling.
Would love for your feedback, support and comments on the launch page as it can help more people discover Marblism! Link here.
