Billion Dollar Ideas (from my notebook)
I'm sharing a list of 6 ideas that I believe can be super big
Today’s essay:
Here is a list of 6 interesting startup ideas that I believe can be super big. For a long time, these were sitting in my notebook/drafts gathering dust and today I figured I’d just make them public in the hope of one of you getting inspired.
If you’re working on any of these, reach out to me so I can potentially support or help you!
#1) A 10x better alternative to Life Alert
Nearly 2million senior/older customers use Life Alert in America alone. [Source]
There is an opportunity to disrupt this and build a 2.0 version.
#2) Fiverr but for creator economy
A curated talent marketplace to find top talent across various content dimensions like newsletters, podcasts etc.
I’m always on the hunt for great part-time writers, copywriters, video editors, Youtube thumbnail creators etc. and this dedicated platform would be very helpful.
Fiverr is over bloated and is very generic (covers 100s of use cases) ..and I say this as a frequent Fiverr user.
#3) Universal LLC
At the 38:41 mark of this podcast episode I did with Adam Draper, I casually pitched him a new half baked idea called “Universal LLC”. He really resonated with it and so did I. This could be a huge opportunity if executed well. Similar to Deel and Remote.
#4) Hypervetted
“G2 Crowd” but for individuals & agencies
This idea is similar to the one above but a different take. As it is not limited to creator economy but will be broadly across the freelancer and agency worlds.
Inspired by this tweet.
#5) Teach Me
What if there was a platform where you could get 1:1 online tutoring (as adults) to learn and level up on ANY SKILL?
Think foreign languages, painting, knitting, copywriting, taxes. etc
This will be similar to Udemy but in stead of async learning, it will be live.
#6) School of Future
A modern corporate training academy which prepares the global professional workforce with modern skills like mastering AI, no-code, TikTok, SEO etc
Seems like CareerKarma is pivoting into this but I believe there’s room for multiple players in this fast growing market.
Well, that’s all for now. What did you think? Hit reply and let me know if any of them resonated with you. I’d love to hear from you!

#2. The Startup Scaries
I found this incredible article from my friend Tom White which he published on last year’s Halloween that I thought was relevant today. Covers lessons from Jason Blum, of Blumhouse Productions, who has been the greatest architect and innovator of the “horror” genre for the past two decades. Check it out here.
